Edition 2025 — Cene Rionali

The 2025 edition of the Cene Rionali in Gesualdo took place over six evenings in August: Saturday the 9th, Tuesday the 12th, Sunday the 17th, Tuesday the 19th, Thursday the 21st, and Tuesday the 26th, from 8:00 PM until late at night. Each event was hosted by a different neighborhood of the Irpinian town, featuring dishes prepared by residents and performances by the Carlo Gesualdo Dance School. The final evening on August 26th was held at Torre dei Monaci.

The Cene Rionali 2025 in Gesualdo

Six evenings between August 9 and 26, 2025, marked the 2025 edition of the Cene Rionali of Gesualdo, in the province of Avellino. The scheduled dates were Saturday the 9th, Tuesday the 12th, Sunday the 17th, Tuesday the 19th, Thursday the 21st, and Tuesday the 26th of August, starting at 8:00 PM and continuing until midnight.

As per tradition, each dinner was hosted by a different neighborhood of the village: stops on the tour included Piano della Croce and, for the closing evening on August 26th, Torre dei Monaci. Residents of the districts guided visitors through a journey into the ancient culinary traditions of Irpinia, in a friendly competition where—as the organizers remind us—the only true winner is solidarity.

The evenings were animated by performances from the Carlo Gesualdo Dance School, with the support of the Pro Loco of Gesualdo. All proceeds were donated to the activities of the Fratres Gesualdo Sturno Villamaina group: blood donation, health prevention campaigns, and projects for the removal of architectural barriers.

Programme

Saturday, August 9, 2025 — first neighborhood dinner, from 8:00 PM. Tuesday, August 12, 2025 — second evening, from 8:00 PM. Sunday, August 17, 2025 — third evening, from 8:00 PM. Tuesday, August 19, 2025 — fourth evening, from 8:00 PM. Thursday, August 21, 2025 — fifth evening in the Piano della Croce neighborhood, from 8:00 PM. Tuesday, August 26, 2025 — closing evening at Torre dei Monaci, from 8:00 PM. All evenings featured neighborhood cuisine and performances by the Carlo Gesualdo Dance School.

Highlights
