Celebrations in Honor of the Madonna della Mercede

The 2025 edition of the celebrations in honor of the Madonna della Mercede in Giardinello (PA), Sicily, took place around September 24th, in the spirit of Marian devotion that characterizes this small town in the province of Palermo.

After the triduum of spiritual preparation, the festival welcomed the relics of Blessed Pina Suriano and featured a solemn Eucharistic celebration in the Sanctuary, presided over by Father Claudio. On the evening of September 24th, the solemn procession of the venerated statue of the Madonna took place through the village streets, followed by the fireworks display organized by the festival committee. The large turnout of the faithful, including visitors from nearby Carini, confirmed the deep roots of this tradition within the community.
