Celebrations in Honor of Saint Nicholas of Bari and Saint Anthony of Padua

The 2025 edition of the Celebrations in honor of Saint Nicholas of Bari and Saint Anthony of Padua renewed in August the most heartfelt summer event in Castellafiume, in the province of L'Aquila. As per tradition, the program alternated moments of devotion with occasions for conviviality: the procession with the statues of the saints, solemn masses in the parish church of San Nicola, food festivals in Piazza Alcide De Gasperi, dialect theater performances, dance evenings, and the usual concluding fireworks display. An edition that confirmed the role of the patronal feast as a moment of identity for the entire Marsica community.
