Celebrations in Honor of Saint Francis of Paola

The 2025 edition of the celebrations in honor of Saint Francis of Paola in Marsala, in the province of Trapani, reaffirmed the saint's strong bond with seafarers. The highlight was the Sailors' Day: the statue of Saint Francis of Paola arrived at the port on a boat, followed by the blessing of the sea and a Eucharistic celebration in the Port Authority square.

From the port, the pilgrimage of the statue towards the parish church began, crossing numerous streets of the district up to Corso Calatafimi. The religious program was accompanied by entertainment, including theatrical comedies and musical performances, as well as the traditional parade of the marching band through the city streets.
