Edition 2025 — Saint Alexander in Corfinio
2025 Edition
The festivities opened on May 1, 2025, with the firing of firecrackers and the ringing of bells, followed by the Banda Città di Chieti touring the town streets, the Solemn Holy Mass, and the procession with the venerated image of the Patron Saint. In the afternoon, the traditional juniper float parade was held, while the evening was enlivened by food stalls and the lyrical-symphonic band concert.
On May 3, the day of the Patron Saint's solemnity, the focus was on moments of intense spirituality: the Solemn Holy Mass, the Holy Rosary, the singing of vespers, and the traditional kissing of the relic. The event, organized by the Saint Alexander I Parish at the Sacrosanct Valvense Cathedral Basilica, combined faith, tradition, and culture, involving citizens and visitors from the entire Peligna Valley.
