In 2025, the Cavatieddi Festival confirmed its role as the most anticipated spring event in Monterosso Almo, in the heart of the Iblei in the province of Ragusa. In Piazza Sant'Antonio, in the Matrice district, the local women handmade the cavatieddi muntirussani with pork ragù, accompanied by fried crispelle, ricotta cannoli, and traditional Sicilian sweets.

The evening, animated by folk music and dancing, was part of the annual celebrations in honor of Maria Santissima Addolorata, the town's patron saint, combining taste, faith, and conviviality in an event that draws residents and visitors from across the Iblean territory.
