Edition 2025 — Cavalcata di San Giuseppe

The 2025 edition of the Cavalcata di San Giuseppe confirmed Scicli as one of the Sicilian capitals of traditional spring festivals. During the weekend surrounding the feast of Saint Joseph, the historic center hosted the procession of wallflower-adorned horses and the re-enactment of the Flight into Egypt, featuring the exhibition of spectacular embroidered caparisons and the awarding of the prize for the most beautiful one.

Cavalcata di San Giuseppe 2025

The 2025 edition took place in March in Scicli, in the Ragusa Province, on the occasion of the feast of Saint Joseph. In 2025, the heart of the event remained the procession of floral-adorned horses: dozens of animals adorned with caparisons entirely embroidered with fragrant wallflowers crossed the streets of the historic center, bringing to life the re-enactment of the Holy Family's Flight into Egypt.

The days alternated between parades, a religious procession with the statue of the Saint, the exhibition of the caparisons, and stands of typical Iblean products, confirming the deep popular roots of a festival inscribed since 2011 in the Intangible Heritage Registry of the Sicily Region.
