Castignano Historical Carnival

The 2025 edition of the Castignano Historical Carnival confirmed the vitality of one of the oldest carnival traditions in the Marche region. The program opened on Thursday, February 27, in Piazza Umberto I with the distribution of "pizze onte" (fritters), local wine, music, and the competition to proclaim King Carnival. On Saturday, March 1, at the Predaia structure in Via Galvoni, the masked "Veglionissimo" featured the band I Pupazzi and a DJ set by SimonDj until dawn. Monday, March 3, was children's day with entertainment and snacks, while Shrove Tuesday, March 4, presented the famous Moccoli Parade, with floats, masked groups, skits, dances, and the traditional lit lanterns. The event was organized, as tradition dictates, by Pro Loco of Castignano in collaboration with the entire community of the Piceno village.
