The Castelleone di Suasa Carnival

The Castelleone di Suasa Carnival is the winter masked event that brings together families from the Municipality of Castelleone di Suasa, a small village in the Province of Ancona, in the heart of the Marche region and the Mivola Valley. Far from large float parades, it is a simple and genuine village festival, designed to give children an afternoon of games and fun during the coldest period of the year.

An Indoor Party Designed for Children

The choice to hold the event in the Sports Hall is no coincidence: the indoor and heated environment allows children to have fun, sheltered from the cold and typical February weather. The sports venue is thus transformed into a large party hall, where masked children can run and play in complete safety.

Confetti, Streamers, and Entertainment

The program is entirely dedicated to entertaining the younger ones. There is no shortage of confetti and streamers in abundance, while the entertainment is entrusted to the characters Yoyo and Flypper, who engage the children with games, dances, and show moments. To participate on the dance floor, tennis shoes are required, and the use of spray cans is forbidden, to ensure everyone's fun and safety.

Organization and Local Tradition

The event is the result of collaboration between the Pro Suasa Tourist Association, the Municipal Administration of Castelleone di Suasa, and the Suasa Sports Center ASD. Like many festivals in the Marche calendar, the Castelleone Carnival is a moment of aggregation that renews the sense of community and accompanies young and old towards spring.

Castelleone di Suasa is famous for the nearby archaeological area of the ancient Roman city of Suasa, with its amphitheater and Archaeological Park. The village, nestled in the rolling hills between the Misa and Nevola valleys, offers a rich calendar of traditional events throughout the year, from the winter Carnival to summer festivals, which tell the authentic identity of the Marche countryside.
