A week of jazz between the Teatro Accademico, Villa Barbarella and the city squares
The Castelfranco Veneto Jazz Festival is the major jazz event that animates the walled city in the province of Treviso every summer. Born from the collaboration between the Agostino Steffani Conservatory of Music and the Municipality of Castelfranco Veneto, the festival has earned a place in the Italian jazz calendar, alternating big international names with young talents trained in the Conservatory's classrooms.
The heart of the main concerts is the Teatro Accademico, an 18th-century jewel that hosts the headline ticketed evenings. But the festival is above all a widespread celebration: the gardens of Villa Barbarella become a meeting place every evening with jam sessions, live painting, food and drinks, while the Sagrato del Duomo hosts the most crowded free concerts. Music also fills the venues and streets of the historic centre.
The programme features world-renowned musicians and ensembles from the Jazz Department of the Steffani Conservatory, with particular attention to the great masters of jazz and historical anniversaries of the genre. The proportion of free events is high, a choice that makes the festival accessible and popular, capable of attracting enthusiasts from all over the Marca Trevigiana and beyond.
The 2026 edition of the Castelfranco Veneto Jazz Festival brings major international jazz names to the city from July 7th to 11th, with headline evenings at the Teatro Accademico and a substantial free programme across the Sagrato del Duomo, Villa Barbarella, and the historic centre. The event is organised by the Agostino Steffani Conservatory with the Municipality of Castelfranco Veneto.
Among the guests are Cuban pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaba with Chris Potter, trumpeter Fabrizio Bosso, and vocalist Maria Pia De Vito. Every evening from 10:30 PM, the gardens of Villa Barbarella become the Jazz, Art & Food space with jam sessions by Conservatory students.
Castelfranco Veneto is well connected by train (lines from Venice, Padua, Treviso, and Bassano del Grappa) with the station just a few minutes from the walled centre. By car, it can be reached from the SR53 Postumia. The festival venues are all in the historic centre and reachable on foot.
The evenings at the Teatro Accademico are ticketed; numerous events at Villa Barbarella, the Sagrato del Duomo, and in the historic centre are free. Advance tickets are available at VivaTicket, De Santi Dischi (via Marconi 1), and the Teatro Accademico ticket office.
