Edition 2025 — Castel Guelfo in Pink

The Castel Guelfo in Pink event was created with the 2026 edition, on the occasion of the historic passage of the Giro d'Italia through the village of Bassa bolognese. In 2025, the town was not touched by the pink race route, but the lively tradition of popular festivals in Castel Guelfo, animated by the Pro Loco and local associations, laid the groundwork for the grand cycling festival the following year.

Castel Guelfo di Bologna, a small municipality in the Province of Bologna in Emilia-Romagna, boasts a solid tradition of community events organized by the Pro Loco and the municipal administration, from gastronomic fairs to village festivals. However, the event Castel Guelfo says hello to the Giro d'Italia represents an absolute novelty for 2026: it is indeed the passage of the Cervia-Corno alle Scale stage that brings the pink race along the village roads for the first time. In 2025, the town was not affected by the Giro's route, and the pink festival had not yet taken place in the form that made it famous.
