Casina Pork Scratchings Festival

The eighth edition of the Pork Scratchings Festival took place on Sunday, March 30, 2025, in Casina, in the Reggiano Apennines. The heart of the event was Piazza IV Novembre, in front of the Town Hall, with the involvement of the entire town.

The true protagonist was the competition among the best pork butchers, with as many as 40 participants who lit their cauldrons to compete in preparing pork scratchings. Experts from the Academia Judices Salatii determined the winner. There was also a lively food market, the special market organized by Com.Re, tastings of typical products such as polenta, casagai, and sandwiches with cotechino, as well as games for the little ones and entertainment for all ages. The event was organized by the Municipal Administration of Casina with the valuable collaboration of the Pro Loco of Cortogno.
