Casale Monferrato Carnival

The 2025 Casale Monferrato Carnival took place on Saturday, March 1, 2025, once again coloring the streets of the historic center with the grand allegorical parade. The traditional masks Gipin and Catlinin were portrayed by Giacomo Alcuri and Claudia Gnani: for Alcuri, who has been linked to the musical world of the Carnival for nearly half a century, wearing the clothes of Gipin was an honor and a recognition of his passion.

The procession started from Piazza Castello at 3:00 PM, crossing via Saffi to Piazza Mazzini, where the masks were presented to the jury, before continuing along via Roma and returning to Piazza Mazzini for the final awards ceremony. As per tradition, the protagonists were the original cardboard floats inspired by the boats of "Galleggia non galleggia", the historic cardboard boat race on the Po.
