A widespread festival for the environment

The Carta della Terra Festival is one of the most established cultural events in the province of Brescia dedicated to sustainability. Promoted by the Cogeme Foundation and the Terra della Franciacorta Association, the festival spans over a month of programming, offering dozens of initiatives on the environment, ecological education, and civic participation.

The formula is that of a travelling festival: events are not concentrated in one place but are distributed across numerous municipalities in the area, including Rovato, Passirano, Cazzago San Martino, Provaglio d'Iseo, Lograto, Lumezzane, and others. This approach aims to involve the entire community of Franciacorta and the lower Brescia region.

Culture and civic engagement

The program combines different forms of expression: conferences and seminars, theatrical performances, workshops, reading competitions, and themed days. Each edition revolves around a specific theme, chosen as a common thread to reflect on the relationship between humans and the environment. Schools, associations, and citizens are active participants, fostering education and engagement.

Rovato in the festival network

In Rovato, in the heart of Lombardy's Franciacorta region, the festival features some of its events, integrating the town into the network of municipalities sharing the project.
