The 2025 Carruccio Granprix

The 2025 edition of the Carruccio Granprix took place on August 11 in the center of Poggio Imperiale (FG), as part of the rich Poggio d'Estate 2025 program, which enlivened the town with concerts, food festivals, and shows from July 19 to August 17.

Organized by the 'Terranova in Festa' committee with the patronage of the municipal administration, the race featured several teams of ten competitors each: one pilot driving the carruccio and nine teammates tasked with pushing it in a relay along the four laps of the city circuit, for a total distance of over two kilometers.

As per tradition, the evening awarded not only the trophy to the fastest team but also recognition for the best technical construction of the vehicles and for the most original choreography, including costumes and sets prepared by the neighborhoods. A dive into the folklore of the Alto Tavoliere that drew spectators from the entire region.

The race — August 11, 2025

City circuit between the square and the main avenue of Poggio Imperiale, four laps for over two kilometers in total.

• Teams — ten competitors each: one pilot on board and nine pushers alternating in a relay.
• Vehicles — handmade soapboxes built with a wooden board and wheels made from old ball bearings.

The event is part of the Poggio d'Estate 2025 festival (July 19 – August 17).
