A Carnival That Parades in May
In Montegrotto Terme, in the province of Padua, carnival arrives when other cities have already put it away: Carnevale alle Terme is indeed an out-of-season event that brings floats to the streets on May 1st. An original choice that transforms the famous Corso delle Terme into a catwalk of colors, masks, and music.
The Night Parade of Floats
The highlight is the night parade: the floats, accompanied by majorettes, travel along Corso delle Terme to Piazza Mercato, offering an unusual and evocative spectacle in the evening darkness. For the occasion, the corso is closed to traffic for the entire day.
A Party for the Whole Family
The day is not limited to the parade: in the afternoon, the center of Montegrotto comes alive with DJ sets, food trucks dedicated to sweets, inflatables, and entertainment for children. A free event that combines the carnival tradition with the tourist appeal of the spa town, organized by Pro Loco Montegrotto Terme APS together with the Department of Tourism.
Carnival at the Spas — edition 2026
Carnevale alle Terme returns on May 1, 2026, to Montegrotto Terme with the usual out-of-season carnival. Corso delle Terme will be closed to traffic for the entire day.
Five floats, accompanied by majorettes, will parade at night along the corso to Piazza Mercato. The afternoon is dedicated to families and children with DJ sets, sweet food trucks, and inflatables.
