Carnival and Valentine's Day - An Evening of Celebration and Solidarity

In February 2025, the Società Operaia of Montescheno, in the Antrona Valley (Verbano-Cusio-Ossola province), renewed its traditional Carnival festival, one of the most cherished winter events for the small village community. The evening offered the typical flavors of Ossola cuisine, from polenta to Carnival sweets, accompanied by a mask parade and moments of music and fun. As per the association's tradition, the party combined conviviality with attention to the local area, reaffirming the character of solidarity and mutual aid that is the guiding thread of the Società Operaia's initiatives.
