Carnevale Bianco di Cegni

On August 16, 2025, the Carnevale Bianco di Cegni confirmed its extraordinary appeal, attracting about a thousand tourists to the small village of Alta Val Staffora. The hamlet of Santa Margherita di Staffora came alive with the comical representation of the wedding between 'il Brutto' and 'la Povera Donna', parades with uncovered faces, and the traditional dances of the Quattro Province accompanied by the piffero.

The festival reaffirmed the value of a tradition born in the 1970s to keep alive the identity of a mountain village, now among the most characteristic in all of Lombardy.
