Carnevalandia – Balestrate Carnival

The 38th edition of Carnevalandia was spread over three festive Sundays — February 23, March 2, and March 9, 2025 — with allegorical floats and creative masks animating the center of Balestrate.

The grand parades of allegorical floats and masked groups kicked off at 3:30 PM, accompanied by the musical selection of DJs Alby B., Francesco Gagliano, Roberto Orlando, and Peppe Piccolo. The traditional Shepherd's Dance was also featured, the ancient Masked Contradance that has been the symbol of Balestrate's folklore since the 19th century, once linked to lu jornu di lu picuraru, Shrove Tuesday. The event, organized by the III Millennio Association with the patronage of the Municipality of Balestrate, concluded with the awarding of the most original masks.
