Carneval Circus 2025 in Ostia

The 2025 edition spanned two days. Saturday, March 1, starting at 10:00 AM in Piazza Anco Marzio, the collective painting workshop «Cartoni animali — animal migrante» allowed participants to build and color large recycled cardboard animals under the guidance of set designer Roberto Capone, accompanied by a face-painting corner for children. At 11:15 AM, the intercultural parade kicked off with the historic Roman band Pink Puffers Drum & Brass Phunk Band, stilt-walkers, and colorful creatures, traveling along the pedestrian promenade to Parco Willy Ferrero, where the costume awards ceremony was held at 12:30 PM. In the afternoon, at 3:00 PM, a circus workshop and an aerial dance and juggling show by India Baretto took place.

Tuesday, March 4 (Shrove Tuesday), Piazza Anco Marzio hosted the traveling toy library of traditional handcrafted games and the Carnival Park starting at 3:30 PM; at 4:30 PM, the animated reading «Cappuccetto Rosshow» was held, followed by the children's costume parade at 5:30 PM and the grand finale at 6:00 PM with music and dancing by Sinu Africa. All events were free and open to the public.
