Edition 2025 — Ancient Flavours Festival

On 20 and 21 September 2025, Carlentini hosted the Carlentini Ancient Flavours Festival, two evenings dedicated to the local rural cuisine in Piazza Cavallotti. From 6:00 PM until late at night, visitors were able to enjoy honey-drizzled sfingi, cavateddi with pork sauce, hot and dried mostarda, mustazzoli, cudduruni, and sausage sandwiches, amidst tastings, exhibition stalls, music, shows, and activities for children.

The 2025 edition of the Carlentini Ancient Flavours Festival took place on 20 and 21 September in Carlentini (SR), in Piazza Cavallotti, with stalls opening from 6:00 PM.

The public, who arrived from neighbouring towns as well, were able to taste the specialties of the Carlentini tradition: sfingi topped with honey, sugar, or hazelnut cream, cavateddi with pork sauce, mostarda served hot or dried, mustazzoli, biscuits, cudduruni, and the classic sausage or meat sandwiches. Alongside the tastings, there were exhibition stalls with preserves and sweets from the rural culture, music, shows, and activities for children. The event, held for charity, was organised by the Immaculate Heart of Mary and Saint Anne Parish.
