Edition 2025 — Buccellato Festival

On December 26, 2025, the medieval village of Carini hosted the opening of the very first Buccellato Festival, a new event dedicated to the Sicilian Christmas pastry. Organized by the Pro Loco Carini al Centro, the inaugural day brought tastings, cooking shows, live music, and the local bakery competition to Corso Umberto I.

The debut on December 26, 2025

The Carini Buccellato Festival took its first steps on December 26, 2025, with the opening day in the medieval village and along Corso Umberto I. The initiative, promoted by the Pro Loco Carini al Centro, celebrated the buccellato, a ring-shaped pastry filled with dried figs and candied fruit, a symbol of Christmas in Sicily.

Between tastings, cooking shows, and live music, the first day kicked off the competition between local bakeries and pastry shops, becoming part of the holiday program of the Municipality of Carini, in the province of Palermo.
