Edition 2025 — Carditello Carnival
Carditello in Mask
In 2025, the Carditello Carnival reached its fourth edition, hosted on the weekend of March 1 and 2, just before Shrove Tuesday. The Bourbon Real Sito of San Tammaro transformed into a large open-air party space, with music, confetti, and period costume parades along the estate's avenues and in the riding arena.
Two days of theater, ponies, and 'bottari'
On Saturday, March 1, the program opened in the afternoon with CardiPony, a circuit of pony rides and games for children, accompanied by theatrical guided tours curated by the Cultural Association Passi & Note. On Sunday, March 2, the morning began with a performance by the 'bottari' of San Tammaro, organized by La Compagnia del 2013, guardians of a traditional rural percussion ritual from the Terra di Lavoro region; this was followed by a Venetian-style mask parade by Antiqua Tempora, further guided tours throughout the day, and a picnic area reserved for families.
