Capraia Squid Festival

In 2025, the Capraia Squid Festival was held over two weekends, from October 24th to 26th and from October 31st to November 2nd, along the island's harbor. The classic program was confirmed with the squid fishing contest: afternoon registration, sea and land categories, rankings for sailboats and motorboats, weighing of the catch at the Salata del Porto, and the awards ceremony.

The 2025 edition also offered a masterclass with the island's fishermen to learn squid fishing techniques directly from the pier. Along the harbor, the Pro Loco and island restaurateurs' stalls served squid in numerous preparations: fried, squid risotto, couscous, squid with potatoes, herb-crusted, lasagna, crostini, and arancini.
