Edition 2025 — Capraia Musica
The twentieth edition (XX) of the Capraia Musica Festival took place in 2025 with two inaugural concerts on July 24 and the main body of the program from August 21 to 31, on the island of Capraia Isola, in the Tuscan Archipelago.
The program ranged from masterpieces by Bach to Piazzolla, to jazz and contemporary music, with new compositions in world premiere. Among the protagonists were cellist Mario Brunello with his program dedicated to Bach, cellist Erica Piccotti with pianist Monica Cattarossi, and Tommaso Lonquich, who closed the festival on August 31 with a concert entirely dedicated to the 20th century. There was also space for masterclasses with Benedetto Lupo (piano) and Giovanni Gnocchi (cello), sunset concerts in caves reached by boat, and the event dedicated to the prison community of Gorgona.
