Cappeddha Fair – Salento Pottery Craft Market

The Cappeddha Fair 2025 was held in Taviano on September 7 and 8, 2025, organized by the TerrAmare association with the support of the Municipality of Taviano.

The day of Saturday, September 7 saw the opening of the fair in the morning (8 AM) and the evening reopening (7 PM), with the inauguration of the Municipal Media Library, activities in Piazza San Martino, the traditional fischiettata (whistle performance), and at 9 PM, the concert by Anna Sabato accompanied by musicians Petretto, Musarò, and Rizzello. Sunday, September 8, after the morning opening and the religious ceremony for the Madonna delle Grazie (10 AM), the evening concluded with the concert of the Municipal Band of the City of Taviano.

Along the village streets, there were exhibitions of pottery, whistles, and Messapian amphorae, artisan workshops, visits to the Permanent Museum of Peasant Civilization, photographic and painting exhibitions, and food stands with typical Salento dishes and the mustazzolo.
