Capo Peloro 10K – Luigi Cacopardi Trophy

9th Luigi Cacopardi Trophy — December 7, 2025

The ninth edition took place on Sunday, December 7, 2025, with the base at the "Evemero da Messina" Comprehensive Institute. Due to roadworks in the 6th District, the route was modified: an initial 500 meters followed by four 2,375-meter round-trip laps along Via delle Palme/SP46. The competitive race started at 10:00 AM, preceded by check-ins from 8:00 AM and followed at 10:10 AM by the "Corri con l'Evemero" youth race.

The men's race was won by Federico Denisi (Podistica Messina) with a time of 32'31"; Cristina Garcia Conde (Team Atletica Palermo) won the women's race in 37'35". Approximately 350 athletes representing 65 clubs participated in the event, the final stage of the 2025 Sicily Bronze Races, with regional titles awarded and special prizes for the SM35 ("Simone Arena Prize") and SM55 ("Filippo Romano Prize") categories. As a side event, the urban trek with "Camminare i Peloritani" guided participants through the discovery of the seaside village and the lagoon reserve.
