Edition 2025 — Caper Festival

The 2025 edition of the Caper Festival took place on Sunday, June 1, in the Piazzetta di Sant'Onofrio in Pollara, a hamlet of Malfa on the island of Salina. Following a thirty-year tradition, the festival began at sunset and transformed the small Aeolian village into a large dining area by the sea, featuring caper-based dishes, Malvasia, passito wine, and folk music.

The 2025 Caper Festival was held on Sunday, June 1, in Pollara, in the municipality of Malfa, kicking off the summer season in Salina as it does every year. In the Piazzetta di Sant'Onofrio, overlooking the sea and the famous sunset on the western side of the island, local volunteers and restaurateurs set up stalls with numerous caper-based dishes, accompanied by the island's typical wines, Malvasia delle Lipari and passito.

The evening, which began at sunset, continued until late with tastings, preserves, local products, and the convivial atmosphere that has characterized this festival—one of the most beloved in the Aeolian archipelago—for over thirty years.
