A festival that smells of community

The Festa in Amicizia is one of the most cherished events in the calendar of Caorso, a municipality in the province of Piacenza overlooking the plains of the Bassa Piacentina, along the course of the Po River. It is organized by the ANSPI Casa dell'Amicizia Circle, an association linked to the parish that has been enlivening the social life of the village for decades with catechism, courses, and activities for children, young people, and adults.

For three days, the central Piazza della Rocca transforms into the village's living room: a stage, evening lights, and a crowd of families gathering for shows, music, and good food. It's not a big, headline-grabbing festival, but an authentic village celebration where togetherness matters more than the lineup.

Shows for everyone, from children to adults

The program alternates moments designed for the little ones and musical evenings for adult audiences. Over the years, the festival has hosted concerts by local bands, family musicals, treasure hunts for children and young people, celebratory shows, and convivial evenings. The common thread remains the same: friendship, the value that gives the event its name and summarizes its spirit.

Good food at Arena FOX

The gastronomic heart of the festival is the Arena FOX, the space adjacent to the square where the food stalls are open every evening, serving traditional Emilian and Piacenza dishes. You can dine outdoors in an informal and family atmosphere, before or after the shows scheduled on the stage.

Half a century of Casa dell'Amicizia

The history of the circle dates back to 1972, the year the Casa dell'Amicizia was built, which then became associated with ANSPI (Associazione Nazionale San Paolo Italia) in 1976. Since then, the facility has been a point of reference for the Caorso community, and the Festa in Amicizia represents its most visible public moment, attracting families from all over the area each year.
