Canyon Balloon Festival 2025 in Castellaneta

The third edition of the Canyon Balloon Festival enlivened the Terra delle Gravine in the autumn of 2025, with stops distributed between Mottola, Castellaneta, Ginosa, Laterza, and Corato. The Castellaneta stage, in the province of Taranto, took place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Grotte di Sileno.

The protagonists were about twenty hot air balloons arriving from various European countries—double the number from the previous year—which rose above the ravines, offering a colorful spectacle between sky and earth. The program included tethered flights and free flights, street food with typical Apulian products, live music, and an area dedicated to children. Admission was free, confirming the popular and tourist-oriented nature of the event promoted by the Puglia Region.
