Edition 2025 — Cantine Aperte San Martino
2025 Edition: The Thirteenth
In 2025, Cantine Aperte San Martino reached its 13th edition, scheduled for Saturday, November 8, starting at 7:30 PM. The route wound, as always, through the cellars of the historic center of the hamlet of San Martino, in the municipality of Petrella Salto, in the province of Rieti.
In the cellars reopened for the occasion, visitors found cheeses, cured meats, soup, and polenta, all accompanied by the season's new wine. Along the route, ancient artisan workshops were set up, with re-enactments of old-time trades — blacksmiths, carpenters, shepherds, and knitting — while entertainment groups enlivened the evening as they moved through the alleys.
The Associazione Civica Pro San Martino had set up a free shuttle service to the start of the route and a dedicated camper area; postponement to the following weekend, November 15-16, was planned in case of bad weather. The evening was part of the calendar of autumn festivals in Lazio dedicated to polenta, chestnuts, truffles, oil, and new wine.
