Cannalonga Carnival

The 2025 Edition

The 2025 Carnival in Cannalonga fell on Tuesday, March 4, the date of Shrove Tuesday that year. The event, organized by the Pro Loco dei Laghi, began at 4:00 PM at the town's Sala Sociale.

As per tradition, the day represented the most well-attended winter appointment on the association's calendar, with masks, music, and the involvement of the youngest participants. The edition was part of the rich program of carnivals in Campania and specifically in the Cilento, where numerous towns in the province of Salerno celebrate on the same day with parades and awards.

The Carnival remains one of the moments when the community of Cannalonga, a village of just under a thousand inhabitants in the Cilento National Park, gathers in full before the start of spring.
