Edition 2025 — Campagnolo Carnival
The 42nd edition
In 2025, the Campagnolo Carnival of Santi Cosma e Damiano celebrated its 42nd edition over two Sundays of festivities, March 2 and 9. On March 2, the historical procession, led by the godmother Angiolella in her dress embroidered with the village's symbols, left in the morning from the Via Ausente roundabout to arrive in the afternoon at Piazza Campomaggiore, traveling along Via F. Baracca accompanied by the folk group and the Santi Cosma e Damiano marching band, flag-wavers, masked groups, jugglers, and fire-eaters.
The second Sunday, for the first time in many years, the parade took place in a closed circuit between Via Francesco Baracca and Via Filari di Cristo: the floats stopped along the route to allow the public to admire the choreographies and hydraulic movements up close. In total, 14 floats paraded, including 9 allegorical papier-mâché and iron floats and 5 traditional "Eat and Drink" floats, confirming the vitality of one of the most beloved historic carnivals in the province of Latina and the Lazio region.
