The Camminata delle Teragnóle

The Camminata delle Teragnóle renews the same ritual each time: staggered departures in small groups early in the morning from the center of Rovereto, the ascent along the historical trail, and the arrival in Terragnolo, in the Vallagarina (Trentino). Along the approximately 12-kilometer route, with 600 meters of elevation gain, participants encounter over ten educational and re-enactment stations, two refreshment stops featuring local specialties, and a final lunch.

The initiative, born in 2009, celebrates the memory of the Teragnóle, the women who walked down to the city every day to sell mountain produce. Thanks to the work of over twenty associations and about 150 volunteers, the walk remains a community moment that intertwines history, nature, and tradition between the valley and the city.

Walk structure

• Early morning — Staggered departures in small groups from the center of Rovereto
• Ascent along the historical trail with over 10 educational and re-enactment stations
• Two refreshment stops with coffee, local products, and specialties
• Arrival in Terragnolo — Communal lunch
• Afternoon — Shuttle service for the return to Rovereto

Route of approximately 12 km, 600 m elevation gain, estimated duration 4-5 hours including stops.
