Slow walking as a festival
In Borgo Valbelluna (province of Belluno), Camminando is born, the first festival in the Belluno province dedicated to slow walking. Between the villages of Mel and Lentiai, the festival offers a calendar of events that, from spring to summer, accompanies participants in discovering the territory, one step at a time.
Seven events between nature and culture
The program is divided into main events that alternate different forms of walking:
- Excursions and trips in natural environments
- Literary walks, with readings and stories along the route
- Food walks, dedicated to the flavors of the territory
- Walks among the daffodils during the blooming season
- Conferences and presentations on the theme of walking
A new way to experience Valbelluna
Organized by the Associazione Culturale Il Veses APS, Camminando interprets slow tourism as an opportunity for knowledge: walking becomes a way to read the landscape, history, and traditions of Valbelluna. The events involve symbolic places of the territory, from the Auditorium San Pietro in Mel to the surrounding paths and villages, offering residents and visitors an authentic experience in the heart of the Belluno Dolomites.
Camminando Festival — edition 2026
The first edition of Camminando runs from mid-April to the end of June 2026, with seven main events spread across Mel, Lentiai, and the trails of Valbelluna. The festival alternates nature excursions, literary and food walks, walks among the daffodils, and moments of cultural deepening.

How to get there
Borgo Valbelluna is located along the SS50 in Valbelluna, between Belluno and Feltre. By car from the A27 motorway (Belluno exit), then take the SS50 towards Mel and Lentiai.
