The debut of Calici in Borgo

On August 2 and 3, 2025, the ancient village of Porta, in the Salitto district of Olevano sul Tusciano (Salerno), hosted the first edition of Calici in Borgo, an event promoted by APS I Mulini in collaboration with AIS Salerno.

The tasting route featured over 50 selected wines from four Italian regions, presented directly by more than 20 wineries. The tasting kit cost 10 euros and included four tastings; admission was free, with ample parking available.

Alongside the wine, food stands offered traditional local dishes, while the alleys came alive with music and itinerant shows: enchanted stilt walkers, fire performances, giant soap bubbles, mimes, and poetry. The turnout — thousands of people who climbed up to the village — convinced the administration and organizers to continue, paving the way for the 2026 edition, which is larger and features a selection extended to eight regions.
