An edition canceled due to community mourning

Calici di Stelle 2025 was announced in Campoli del Monte Taburno for August 8, 9, and 10, on the same dates that have identified the wine festival of the Benevento village for years. However, the event was canceled: the death of Mario and Giuseppe Roberto, two well-known and respected citizens of the town, in an accident on the Fondo Valle Vitulanese road, prompted the Youth Forum of Campoli del Monte Taburno and the municipal administration to call off the event.

The announcement came via a message released by the organizers: «This community is a family. And like every family, there are days of joy and days of silence.» And further: «Events will return, but now is the time for silence, listening, and closeness.»

For the small town in the province of Benevento, in Campania, it was a heavy sacrifice: Calici di Stelle is the signature event of the Campoli summer, one of the moments when the town opens up to visitors and showcases the wines of Taburno. The event returned in August 2026, again on the dates of August 8-10.
