Calendimaggio is an ancient festival that welcomes the arrival of spring, and in Cologno Monzese, in the province of Milan, it becomes an opportunity for a weekend of events spread throughout the city. The Pro Loco's Spring Festival is the heart of the event: a day dedicated to families, children, and the desire to spend time together outdoors.
Many Activities for the Little Ones
Among the squares in the center, there are alternating puppet shows, baby dance, face painting, and the unmissable magic of soap bubbles, capable of enchanting both young and old. Accompanying the festival is also the craft market, featuring creativity, curiosities, and many ideas to discover while strolling.
A Widespread Festival
The event extends to the various neighborhoods of the city: from initiatives in the center, between Piazza Castello, Villa Casati, and Piazza XI Febbraio, to events in neighborhoods like San Maurizio, with activities in the park and an open-air library. Organized by the Pro Loco together with the Municipality of Cologno Monzese, the Calendimaggio Festival offers free admission.

The 2026 edition of the Calendimaggio Festival brings two days of celebration to Cologno Monzese. Saturday, May 23rd, the Pro Loco's Spring Festival enlivens the city center with puppets, baby dance, face painting, soap bubbles, and a craft market. Sunday, May 24th, activities continue in the San Maurizio neighborhood, with events in the park on Via Toti and the open-air library at Olof Palme park starting at 10:00 AM. Activities are spread across Piazza Castello, Villa Casati, and Piazza XI Febbraio. Free admission.
