When Calabria Meets Lombardy
In Albizzate, a municipality in the Varese area, the Calabro Lombarda Festival celebrates the meeting between two gastronomic cultures that are only apparently distant. For three days, the stands offer traditional dishes from both regions, from the most authentic Calabrian cuisine to Lombard recipes, in a dialogue of flavors that also tells the migratory story linking Northern and Southern Italy.
Live Music Every Evening
The festival takes place in Piazza IV Novembre, in the Albizzate Festival Area, with food stands opening in the evening and live concerts. The program alternates tribute bands and musical groups that liven up the evenings, transforming the square into a meeting point for families and lovers of good food.
An Event with a Purpose
What makes this event special is its solidarity dimension: organized by the Albizzatese Solidarity Committee (C.S.A.) with the patronage of the Municipality, it donates all proceeds to the municipal Social Services. Participating therefore means concretely supporting the solidarity initiatives of the territory.
Calabro Lombarda Festival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Festa Calabro Lombarda runs from June 12 to 14 in the Piazza IV Novembre Festival Area in Albizzate. Three days of gastronomy that blend traditional Calabrian and Lombard dishes, with stands opening in the evening and live music every night.
The initiative is organized by the Albizzatese Solidarity Committee with municipal patronage; proceeds are entirely donated to the Social Services of the Municipality of Albizzate.

How to get there
Albizzate can be reached by car from the A8 dei Laghi motorway and the SS33 del Sempione. The Albizzate-Solbiate Arno train station is on the Milan-Gallarate-Varese line. The festival takes place in Piazza IV Novembre.
Opening Hours
Food stands open in the evening (from 7:30 PM); on Sundays also at lunchtime. Free admission.
