Edition 2025 — Cairo Medievale

In 2025, Cairo Medievale brought the historic centre of Cairo Montenotte back to the Middle Ages, with five evenings of shows, taverns, costume pageants, and fire games. Linked to the San Lorenzo feast, the re-enactment attracted numerous visitors, confirming itself as one of the most evocative events of the summer in Val Bormida.

The 2025 edition of Cairo Medievale confirmed the tried-and-tested formula of the re-enactment: the historic centre enlivened by taverns, shows in the medieval theatres, street artists, fire games, and costume pageants with participants parading from Porta Soprana to Piazza della Vittoria. The event, organised by the Pro Loco Città di Cairo Montenotte and linked to the patronal feast of San Lorenzo, transformed the town in Val Bormida into a medieval village for five evenings, attracting visitors from Liguria and Piedmont.
