Edition 2025 — Cairo Medievale

In 2025, Cairo Medievale brought the historic center of Cairo Montenotte back to the Middle Ages, with five evenings of shows, taverns, costume parades, and fire games. Linked to the San Lorenzo festival, the reenactment attracted numerous visitors, confirming itself as one of the most evocative events of the summer in the Bormida Valley.

The 2025 edition of Cairo Medievale confirmed the tried-and-tested formula of the reenactment: the historic center enlivened by taverns, shows in medieval theaters, street artists, fire games, and costume parades with participants marching from Porta Soprana to Piazza della Vittoria. The event, organized by the Pro Loco Città di Cairo Montenotte and linked to the patron saint's festival of San Lorenzo, transformed the town in the Bormida Valley into a medieval village for five evenings, attracting visitors from Liguria and Piedmont.
