Buka Buskers Fest

The 2025 edition of the Buka Buskers Fest was held on August 2 and 3, 2025, in the Rrokat district of Piana degli Albanesi, in the province of Palermo. A symbolic moment of the edition was the reopening of an ancient wood-fired oven, which had been closed for over forty years, to bake the traditional buka e horës bread.

The program filled the alleys and courtyards with contemporary circus shows, live music, poetry slams, open-mics, jam sessions, and a roving Argentine milonga. Highlights included: percussion and folk dances by artists from the Teatro Ditirammu, the "Biografie Urbane" improvised theater workshop with Italia Carroccio, vocal exploration with Miriam Palma, and circus workshops for children and teenagers by Spazio Euphoria. The event, with free admission, was promoted with the support of the Pro Loco and the Municipality of Piana degli Albanesi.
