Five days of religious devotion, culture, gastronomy, and fun for the whole village
Every spring, Buguggiate - a municipality in the Varese area overlooking the shores of Lake Varese, in the province of Varese - rallies around its Village Festival. Organized by Pro Loco Buguggiate with the patronage of the Municipality and the support of local entities such as BCC of Busto Garolfo and Buguggiate, Obiettivo Cultura, and Fotoclub La Focale, the event was created with a stated goal: to raise funds to keep the community alive.
The program spans five days and touches upon all aspects of village life. There are religious moments, from the Mass in honor of San Vittore to the solemn closing celebration, and cultural ones, with photographic and watercolor exhibitions set up in churches and association headquarters. There are also events for the little ones, with inflatables and trampolines, and music evenings with tribute bands.
The convivial heart of the festival is the food stand set up at the oratory, where the community gathers for meals between one evening and the next. The evenings continue with DJ sets and concerts, culminating in the most spectacular moment: the fireworks display that lights up the Buguggiate sky. A simple and tested formula, capable of engaging all ages and strengthening, year after year, the bond of the inhabitants with their village.
The 2026 edition of the Buguggiate Village Festival takes place from Thursday, May 7 to Monday, May 11. Five days of religious, cultural, gastronomic, and entertainment events for all ages, spread across the oratory, churches, and village spaces. The initiative, organized by Pro Loco Buguggiate with the support of BCC of Busto Garolfo and Buguggiate, Obiettivo Cultura, and Fotoclub La Focale, has charitable purposes.
