Brustico and Prosciutto and Melon Festival

The 2025 edition of the Brustico and Prosciutto and Melon Festival confirmed Villastrada as one of the most popular gastronomic stops of the summer on Lake Trasimeno. At the Villastrada Umbra Sports Club, the stalls offered the famous brustico — lake fish grilled over a cane fire — along with tegamaccio, pasta with fish sauce, grilled meat, and the summer classic prosciutto and melon.

The evenings, enlivened by orchestras and dancing, attracted residents from the Castiglione del Lago area and tourists vacationing on Lake Trasimeno, in a village festival atmosphere that preserves the flavors and cooking techniques of Umbrian lake traditions.
