Argentine Tango in the Bresciano Area
The Brescia Tango Festival is the event that transforms Ghedi (Province of Brescia) into the capital of Argentine tango every year. Hosted at the Milonga La Rotonda, on Strada Borgosatollo, the festival is organized by Intenso! Aps and attracts dancers and enthusiasts from all over Italy for three days of dance, music, and encounters.
Workshops, Milongas, and Live Orchestra
The program combines technical training and dance evenings:
- Technical workshops with international masters, on topics such as sacadas, rhythmic vals, volcadas, paradas, boleos, and empujadas;
- Evening milongas on Friday and Saturday;
- Live orchestra for the evening events;
- Mini-dance marathon on Sunday;
- DJs (tangueros) curating the music for the various sessions.
A Festival for All Levels
With a format that alternates lessons and milongas, the Brescia Tango Festival caters to both experienced dancers and those who want to deepen their tango technique. The presence of internationally renowned master couples and a live orchestra makes the event a reference point for the tango scene in Northern Italy, in a welcoming setting just a few kilometers from Brescia.
Brescia Tango Festival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition runs from Friday, May 1st to Sunday, May 3rd at the Milonga La Rotonda in Ghedi. The program includes nine technical workshops, two evening milongas (Friday and Saturday), and a ten-hour Sunday mini-marathon. On stage will be the live orchestra Este Es El Rey (Saturday evening) and the dance couples Fausto Carpino & Stephanie Fesneau and Juan Carlos Martinez & Nora Witanowsky, who will also teach the workshops. The DJs are Marcelo Rojas, Elisabetta Iorio, Benny Campana, and Filippo Giacomelli.
