Breccialfiorata of Corpus Domini

The 2025 edition of the Breccialfiorata took place in Acquaviva Platani, in the province of Caltanissetta, from June 19 to 22, on the occasion of the solemnity of Corpus Domini. As per tradition, the streets of the historic center were covered with large panels of colored breccia arranged on boards designed by local artists, composing a route of sacred images several hundred meters long.

The program included the inauguration of the artistic route in the presence of civil, religious, and military authorities, followed in the following days by the procession with stops at the small altars set up along the route. The setting was completed by tastings of typical products, exhibitions, shows, and the performance of the marching band. The organization, managed by the Pro Loco of Acquaviva Platani and the Maria SS. della Luce Parish, involved a large part of the village community as it does every year.

June 19, 2025 — Inauguration

Inauguration of the artistic route of colored breccia along the streets of the historic center, in the presence of civil, religious, and military authorities.

Following days (June 20-22)

• Corpus Domini procession along the flower-strewn route, with stops at the small altars;
• Tastings of typical local products;
• Art exhibitions and installations;
• Shows in the village squares;
• Performance by the marching band.
