Edition 2025 โ€” Braciola and Strangolaprievati Festival

The 2025 edition of the Braciola and Strangolaprievati Village Festival took place from August 4th to 6th in Santa Lucia, Sessa Cilento (SA) and marked an important milestone: the 25th edition of the event, established in 1999. Three evenings with food stalls open from 7:30 PM, Cilento-style braciole, handmade fresh pasta, folk music, traditional dances, and craft markets in the village's historic center.

The 25th edition

In 2025, the Braciola and Strangolaprievati Village Festival celebrated its twenty-fifth anniversary: since 1999, the year of the first edition, the community of Santa Lucia has never missed the appointment of the first week of August. The three evenings took place from Monday, August 4th to Wednesday, August 6th, 2025, in the historic center of the hamlet of Sessa Cilento, in the province of Salerno.

Flavors and folklore

As per tradition, the food stalls opened from 7:30 PM, offering Cilento-style braciole, meat rolls slow-cooked in sauce, and strangolaprievati, handmade fresh pasta similar to cavatelli, along with local cheeses, artisanal cured meats, traditional desserts, and Cilento wine.

The evenings were enlivened by folk music concerts, live performances, and traditional dances along the alleyways, with craft markets and workshops for the little ones. An edition that confirmed the festival as one of the most identity-defining events of the Cilento summer, capable of attracting visitors from neighboring towns and the coast.
