Bozzoli is the under-30 performing arts festival that every September animates the spaces of Villa Burba, in Rho, a municipality in the Province of Milan. The event is a showcase dedicated to young artists on the contemporary scene, who present theatre, dance, and performances in the unconventional spaces of the historic villa.

Theatre, dance, and site-specific performances

The festival selects, through a call for artists under 30, several shows ranging from theatre with a strong physical component to contemporary dance and dance-theatre. The works, short and with light, adaptable staging, are designed to interact with the unconventional spaces of Villa Burba: a creative challenge that enhances the site-specific dimension.

A springboard for new languages

Bozzoli aims to be a springboard for new performance languages, offering young artists a space for visibility and a contribution for the selected works. It is a festival that bets on research and emerging talent, in a landscape where opportunities dedicated to the under-30s remain precious.

Villa Burba, home of the arts

Organised by Caminante | Teatro selvaggio and WHYNOT, with the support of the Municipality of Rho, the festival is preceded by 'Bozzoli EXTRA', a programme of artistic residencies that takes place in the preceding months at Villa Burba. A project that confirms the vocation of the Rho villa as a space dedicated to contemporary creation.
