About Bosga Festival

The Festa della Bosga is the major festival of Corbola, in the heart of the Delta del Po (province of Rovigo). The star is the 'bosga', the mullet from the Po river branches, served fried, marinated, or stewed and paired with local wines. For over two weeks, the Porticciolo Balutin, on the riverbanks, comes alive with food and wine stalls, musical and dancing evenings, stalls selling local products and crafts, in one of the most cherished festivals in Polesine, organized by Pro Loco Corbola.

The Delta del Po Fish Festival

The Festa della Bosga is the most important summer event in Corbola, a town in Polesine on the banks of the Po river, in the province of Rovigo. The name comes from the bosga, the mullet that populates the river branches in the Delta: a humble yet delicious fish from the traditional cuisine of Polesine, celebrated here as an identity specialty of the area.

Flavors of Polesine Cuisine

At the food and wine stall, the 'bosga' is offered fried, marinated, or stewed, accompanied by local wines and other specialties of the Delta cuisine. There are also bars, piadina stands, and stalls with local products and crafts, for an authentic experience of the genuine flavors of the Po.

Music, Dancing, and Conviviality

The festival takes place at the Porticciolo Balutin, on the riverbanks, and features musical and dancing evenings with liscio orchestras, touring car exhibitions, entertainment for families, and festive moments that liven up Corbola for more than two weeks, spanning May and June.

A Polesine Tradition

Entering its 20th edition in 2026, the Festa della Bosga is now a well-established event in the festival calendar of the Veneto Delta del Po. Organized by Pro Loco Corbola, it promotes the river culture, gastronomy, and hospitality of an area rich in history and nature, within the Po Delta Regional Park.
