Borgo Jazz 2025: young talents and social commitment

The 2025 edition of Borgo Jazz was held in Sansepolcro from July 24 to 28, focusing on young talents, music, and social commitment. The festival enlivened the city's historic center with concerts, roaming performances, and moments of reflection.

The festival opened on Thursday, July 24 at 9:00 PM with the screening of the film Round Midnight at the Chiostro di Santa Chiara. Among the novelties of the edition, a youth contest with four selected bands: Piro Piro Band, Koda 5tet, Kotrà, and Tangram Project. On Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27, from 7:00 PM, 'Around Jazz' themed DJ sets were held at Il Triangolo.

Particularly significant were the moments of social value: Sunday, July 27 at 6:00 PM, at the Giardino delle Panchine Rosse, a concert-reading against violence against women with the duo Radio Carioca; on Monday, July 28, the presentation of the album Seeds of Influence by double bassist Matteo Chimenti. All musical events were free of charge.
