Borghetto's summer festival in honour of Saint Roch, since 1975
The Agosto Borghettano takes place in August in the hamlet of Borghetto in San Martino di Lupari, a municipality in the Alta Padovana area in the province of Padua, in Piazza Antonio Mantiero. Founded in 1975, it is one of the most established summer festivals in the area, organized by the Centro Ricreativo di Borghetto.
The festival is linked to the devotion to Saint Roch, one of Borghetto's patrons, whose feast day falls on August 16th. The celebrations, which combine the religious dimension with conviviality and music, are concentrated around this date.
The programme alternates evenings of orchestras for ballroom dancing, aimed at the traditional audience, with the Summer Crock Fest featuring live bands designed for younger people. To complete the festival, there is a rich gastronomic stand with specialities of Venetian cuisine. An intergenerational format that makes the Agosto Borghettano an event of strong identity for the Borghetto community.
The 2026 edition of the Agosto Borghettano will take place in August in the hamlet of Borghetto di San Martino di Lupari (PD), in Piazza Antonio Mantiero, around the feast of Saint Roch on August 16th.
